Hi, I’m Tim — a filmmaker and photographer based in San Diego, California.

I studied documentary and journalism at Chapman University and started my career as a reporter, shooting and cutting stories solo in the field. I’ve driven into active tornado zones, hauled gear in 110° heat, and covered murders down rural backroads. That experience didn’t just sharpen my technical skills, it helped me build the kind of storytelling instinct and composure you only earn through repetition.

These days, I work with musicians, surfers, outdoor brands, nonprofits, and small businesses on projects that blur the lines between documentary, promo, and short film. Whether I’m shooting 35mm stills or cinematic video, I’m most interested in honest work that’s crafted in-camera, driven by story, and edited with intention.
